Our government never tells the people everything that they know. Like the fact that werewolves are more realistic than we could have imagined. The first werewolf infected, Murphy Curtis O'Reilly, was taken into custody by the government and interrogated. Poked and prodded for years before he died from the multiple testing done to him. This secret was kept under wraps, never to be revealed to the public. DNA left behind from O'Reilly allowed testing to be done on criminals with life sentences. Who cares about them, right? As the years passed, the "disease" was perfected and the government decided it was time they did something useful with it. They started giving the "serum" to military forces, hoping it would increase their chances at winning future wars.
A few years go by, and a strapping young lad at the age of 19 decides to join the forces. He doesnt exactly understand what all he is getting himself into. Once okay'd to join, one last visit to the doctors and he can fer'sure join. An injection, supposedly to help keep him from getting sick while in Basic Training that will also last when he goes into combat as well. A week goes by and he finally learns what the military is all about, and what the injection was really for. With the orders from his recruiter, he is allowed to go out in public but must keep his temper and can not let anyone know about this secret.
His girlfriend and him get into a heated conversation one night and he loses his temper, shifting into his wolf form right before her eyes, scratching her upper left shoulder. Once calmed down, he shifts back into his natural form and starts to freak out. Freaked out herself, his girlfriend goes home and locks herself away in her house, refusing to let him in. A few days pass before she speaks to him again, but still refuses to see him. On the fourth night, the full moon rises high in the night sky, beconing the wolf hidden inside to come out to play. Forced to shift, she sheds her skin for fur, paws and a tail.
Confused as all hell, she goes out on the hunt for him. Finally she finds him and starts asking him how this came to be. He decides that now that she is infected, it's her right to know, so he tells her everything. By government law, he is supposed to report to his recruiter if he or any of the others infect someone. All infected must be reported and sent to internment camps where they will be told how they will go about living their lives serving the country, or they will be forever stuck in the camps until death. No infected persons are allowed out into the public without the proper training to control their urges to shift.
The boy doesnt want to tell his commanding officers about this because he doesnt want his girl to have to sacrifice herself to the service due to his own mistake. After taking some time to think about it, the girl tries to convince him that maybe this whole thing was meant to happen, and now they wont have to be separated when he goes off to Basic Training. For a few weeks, the boy keeps this little secret of theirs to themselves, but finally tells his recruiter about what happened. The girl is brought in, and put through multiple tests and finally gets put into the service with her beloved. Secretly living out 2 of her dreams. Being apart of the service and being a werewolf. Haha. (:
About Werewolves:
You WILL shift every full moon. Something of you makes it hard to control, and you will be forced to shift to you other form. Aside from the full moon, you may shift as you wish. Anger can also trigger the shift, so watch your temper. Werewolves stand on all fours like natural wolves do, but are larger than your average wolf. Talking in wolf form is very simple. Through your minds, you can pass on images to one another and speak through your thoughts. To signla one another from great distances, howling is one thing that they do. Thoughts can only be passed on through a 3 mile radius, so any further than that and you will have to touch base with your inner wolf. That's basically all you have to know, you will learn more about your wolf self through time and experience.
