Army Dogs

I sit on the sofa chair in the corner of my room, trembling lightly as I stare down at my blood soaked hands. My shirt and jacket are torn in 3 separate slashes, blood soaking about a 5 inch radius around the cut fabric. The front of my shirt soaked with my blood sweat and tears. The visual of my own boyfriend Adam being torn to shreds, replaced by a massive wolf.. was it possible? Werewolves? Fresh memories flash through my mind, causing me to flinch as if it were happening over again, for real.

As i calm down i relised what i have done. I run back to my girlfriend Gabbys house and knock on the door franticaly knocking on the door trying to get her. I hear no one and start to franticaly hit the door harder. Still no answer, i start to tear up as time passes by. When i relize she wont answer I slowly start to walk away crying not knowing what to do or what will happen.

With each knock, the tears only come faster. I slowly get up, holding my shoulder tenderly as I walk to my window. I look down at the sidewalk and see Adam walking away. Everything in me wants to call out to him, but at the same time, Im scared to be around him. I stay quiet, watching him walk away, holding in my sobs.

I walk deep in the woods and cry and slightly angry at myself for letting myself go into a rage And the fact i even laid a finger on her tears me up. I switch back into a wolf and start howling and crying as loud as i can.Thinking in my mind will i ever see her again, will she ever forgive me. What will the Goverment do to her??

I watch him until he disappears into the night, shivering when I hear a distance howling. At first, it scares me.. but it doesnt take very long for the howling to have a soothing effect on me. Why aren't I rejoicing in the fact that I'm going to live out my dream? I'm becoming a frickin werewolf! I walk out into the backyard, looking up at the waning moon. Maybe he'll come back. A single tear runs down my face. I hope he comes back. I overreacted. I frown at my own thoughts. I let my fear get to me. Sighing heavily, I sit down in the grass, staring up at the starry night sky. Adam.

I spend a day or two alone in the woods in deep thought. I finally pull myself together enough to go back home. But when i finally get home i go straight to my room still down, i havent eatten in days so i force myself to eat.

As the days pass and I recieve no sign of him, I begin to worry. The wounds on my shoulder turned into thick, puckered scars over the course of a couple days. The werewolf "infection" already working its magic, healing the wound quicker than the normal healing rate. I decide to go to Adam's house, a bit scared but more than anything, I wanted to show him I was okay and that I wasnt mad at him. Upon reaching his house only minutes later, I stand at his doorstep, frozen in place. My breath catches in my throat, my hand holding his house key frozen with the key stuck inside the knob.

I just so happen to look out a window to see gabby and freese looking deep into her eyes. A lil smile appears on my face because im happy to see she is ok.

I look over at his window, seeing him staring down at me. My eyes light up when I see his smile, my lips spreading into a soft smile. All the tension in my body slowly slips away as I turn the knob and let myself in, shutting the door behind me and rush to his bedroom door. I stop suddenly just before hitting his doorway, slowly pushing the door open, standing in front of the open door. My mouth drops open slightly, whispering just a single word. "Adam."

I turn and just stare at her for a couple of seconds before running too her. I stop right infront of her starting to tear up a little "Babe, Gabby im so sorry". i slowly mumble.

I look deep into his eyes, then look down as I slowly take my jacket off, tugging my tanktop over my head, revealing the four large scars starting from the top of my shoulder, down half of my arm and most of my back to the tailbone. I look over my shoulder at him, my smile slowly fading. "It's healing, well.. faster than it should be." I slowly turn around, taking his hand gently. "I want you to know that I'm not mad at you, though. I'm okay."

I reach over and give her a big hug. squeezing tightly."honey i love you so much. What are we going to do!? If the Government finds out!"

I flinch when he hugs me tight cause it hurts the puckered scars on my back, biting my lip firmly. "I, I dont know. I don't even know what's going on." I pull away a bit so he loosens his grip on me, looking him in the eyes. "You mean to tell me this is a government thing?!"

I look in her eyes with a wide look relizing i have said to much. But i think to myself a little while looking in her eyes and decide to tell her since she is now one of us. "Babe please have a seat, there is much to tell you"

I shake my head, crossing my arms over my chest, wincing cause it strains the injured skin on my shoulder and arms. I narrow my eyes a little bit. "I think I'll stand for this." I push the bedroom door closed shut, leaning against the wall, lips firmly pressed together.

I look down for a second and take a deep breath, "Gabby what you have is a virus." "It has been a government secret for years." A back the Government discoverd a virus and kept tight wraps around it." "they started to experiment with it and perfected it to how the wanted it." "They injected anybody in the military with this virus to help give them a boost if they ever needed." "how ever we have swarn to not to tell anyone." "they keep all of us in a camp to keep an eye on us." "If one is to become infected i am suppose to report to my commanding Officer." "I just couldnt Gabby i cant report this I care bout you too much, and because i let my anger get my you are now suffering from my actions," "you are a werewolf honey." "you now have strength you cant even imagine"

I smirk a little, raising my eyebrow. "That's it?" I throw my head back and laugh a couple times, then look back at him. "For a second, I thought they'd kill me if they knew I was infected. That's not bad at all!"

"No but now your infected you are required to join the military now." We both can get in big trouble."

Jayden

I smile wide. "And do you know what that means?" I bite my lower lip. "Means we wont have to be separated when you go off to Basic! We can go together!"

I think to myself for a second then smile wide. "babe lets tell the Sgt. right now!!"
